I can't tell you much about Mississippi Valley State, except that it's a state school in Mississippi that's probably located in a valley.
And that its men's basketball team's RPI is 228 (the worst among NCAA tournament teams,) its record is 15-15 with no NCAA Division I non-conference wins, it played three non-D I teams at home, it plays in the worst-rated conference in the NCAA and it will not be in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday for the dreaded "Play-In Game" against Coppin State.…

Former players cheer on their team
Landy Thompson (class of 2006) was not able to see the NEC Championship game in person, but he says if the Mount plays a first-round game at the Raleigh, N.C. site he plans to make the trip.
Nick Whitney (class of 2007) was able to drive down from his home state of New Hampshire and take part in the post-game celebration with his former team.…
